I love homemade things. Especially from artists who are local. So when I received a box from Series Habitantes I was very excited to see what was inside.
Focused on bringing warmth and vibrancy into the home, Séries Habitantes is a unique and surprising way to discover the wide world of Montreal artists. Through careful curation and selection, our team crafts a unique collection of Montreal’s best artisanal products and ships them straight to your door, bringing surprise and delight as you discover new and beautiful works by Montreal’s most creative artisans.
Series Habitantes sent me this…
It took me a second to realize it is a tea kit! The little homemade cup is a tea cup, with some loose leaf local tea. Local raw honey, and two greeting cards from Montreal that are blank inside (for me to send out).
The cup is so beautiful that I was/am scared to break or ruin it. I have a horrible track record with mugs and cups, so I found another use. I’m using it on my vanity to hold my makeup brushes. It’s perfect, and I get to see it every day without having to touch or move it around.
The honey is great! We needed some, actually. Did you know honey is a natural antiseptic? I know, i’m using these items all wrong – but that;s how useful they were to me! I absolutely enjoyed this box from Series Habitants and the local Montreal artists.
Montreal craftsmanship is world renowned. Known for originality and novelty, local producers maintain yesterday’s values of quality and durability, while leading the way in 21st century design. Luxury and hearth are the hallmarks of the Québecois artisan. Ceramics, woodworking, textiles, paper goods, and gourmet edibles are all produced locally, and with great care and attention.
Boxes start at just $45, and have both priceless, and timeless pieces inside. I definitely think this would be a great Christmas present to the artsy person in your life.
