Life has been so crazy lately, that I’ve been barely able to remember to make dinner; let alone dessert. I’m not a good baker, I’ll admit to that. I usually buy a box of something from the grocery store and whip that up for a sweet treat. There’s this box of salted caramel brownies that are to die for, that I like to buy. I always claim the corners, with two sides of burnt edges. Drool.
Then I heard of Brownie Brittle. It’s a company that sells just those edges. They sell the best part of the brownie! You don’t need to make three batches of brownies and reserve your corners anymore, folks!
In 1992, Sheila G. Mains, better known in the food business as Sheila G, took a treasured family recipe for fudge brownies and baked her way into a thriving business. You may even have tasted one of her rich, dense squares of heaven at some of our nation’s finest restaurants and theme parks. So, where exactly did the inspiration for her scrumptious new Brownie Brittle™ snack come from?
Like many brownie aficionados, Sheila is particularly fond of the crispy edges. In fact, on many an afternoon she would walk through the bakery gathering the crispy batter off the sides of the sheet pans as the chocolate brownies cooled in their racks. It had that same rich chocolate taste, but with an amazing crunch. That started her wondering: How could she create a whole pan of crunchy edges? Well, lucky for us, she figured it out! Now you too can satisfy your sweet tooth in a snap with Sheila G’s Brownie Brittle™ snacks!
Brownie Brittle sent me some recipe cards to make some yummy treats for you all to see but unfortunately, my packages were a little beat up in transit and I was unable to make the recipe I was eyeing. Ice cream sandwiches with pieces of Brownie Brittle as the cookie.
They are a fairly low-calorie treat for being so indulgent, Just a quarter of the bag is 120 calories! 480 calories for the entire bag, in my case…
I definitely can see why so many celebrities endorse Brownie Brittle – it’s delicious!
